Slim & The Soulful Saints - Fish Head

This record was recorded in either sixty five or sixty six. there were two pressings, one DJ copy of one thousand and a stock copy for sale of five thousand. The DJ copy was pressed in california and was an expensive injection pressing, while the stock copies were pressed at the same time in Nashville on cheaper vinyl. The pressing factory in California pressed their own labels and made a mistake by not printing DJ copy on the label and made a mistake on the run out groove, they were supposed to put Cordex in the groove, but they put dixie instead, which was the run out groove that was put on the stock copies.
This information came from the label owner and I have lots more information about Slim and the Soulful Saints ready to put on www.deepfunk.org in the next week or so, including an interview with the label owner.......
